Review boundary

A competent Rhino/Grasshopper user must test all generated guidance in the target environment. Relevant design, BIM, fabrication, engineering, and project reviewers should assess geometry, units, tolerances, performance, data integrity, and downstream use before relying on an output.

Build

Plan and create grouped Grasshopper definitions, Python components, or C# components from explicit architecture inputs.

Diagnose

Inspect data trees, inherited scripts, runtime messages, and graph structure before applying bounded repairs.

Systematise

Create measurable rationalisation, variant, and staged automation workflows with visible review gates.

Expected Raven outputs — review every live Grasshopper graph before saving, baking, or project use.

What it does

Grasshopper Scripting is a linked collection of eight architecture-first prompt systems written for Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper. The systems cover graph planning, Python and C# components, data-tree diagnosis, geometry rationalisation, traceable variants, controlled Rhino–Grasshopper automation, and existing-script explanation and repair. Each component is a normal standalone listing and version source; the Collection does not maintain duplicate prompt content. Raven's official product pages are the source for the stated product boundary and setup links. archiPrompt is not affiliated with or endorsed by Raven.

Eight Raven prompt systems that build, edit, explain, or verify bounded Rhino/Grasshopper workflows on the buyer's canvas.

Designed for

  • Convert an architectural brief into a staged, reviewable Grasshopper definition plan using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Author a focused, commented Python component with inputs, tests, and error handling using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Create strongly typed C# Grasshopper scripts with validation and performance notes using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Diagnose data-tree mismatches and propose minimal, testable Grasshopper repairs using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Plan repeatable, measurable rationalisation workflows for irregular architecture geometry using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Structure transparent parameter studies, variant registers, and review-ready comparisons using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Specify safe, non-destructive Rhino–Grasshopper automation with review gates using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.
  • Explain, diagnose, and safely repair supplied Grasshopper Python or C# code using Raven inside Rhino 8 and Grasshopper.

Workflow steps

  1. 01

    1. Install Raven

Install Raven in Rhino 8 from the official Raven page, restart Rhino, and open Raven in Grasshopper.

  2. 02

    2. Select one prompt

Choose the standalone system matching the current build, code, diagnosis, rationalisation, study, automation, or repair task.

  3. 03

    3. Complete its variables

Describe the current model context, constraints, permitted tools, intended result, and review boundary.

  4. 04

    4. Run and review

Run the prompt in Raven, then inspect the resulting graph, code, data, geometry, warnings, and write gates before project use.

Limitations + professional safety

Medium risk · human review required

A competent Rhino/Grasshopper user must test all generated guidance in the target environment. Relevant design, BIM, fabrication, engineering, and project reviewers should assess geometry, units, tolerances, performance, data integrity, and downstream use before relying on an output.

Jurisdiction: Global

Known limitations

  • Requires Raven, Rhino 8, and Grasshopper; those products are not included.
  • Raven plan features, token limits, supported plug-ins, and pricing can change.
  • The prompt systems cannot ensure a usable result without accurate buyer inputs and review in the target model.
  • Does not establish project compliance, constructability, fabrication suitability, coordination completeness, or professional approval.
  • Saving, baking, exporting, automation, geometry, code, and data changes require buyer review.

06

Security + quality

Declared permissions

  • A Raven account and Rhino 8 installation are required
  • The buyer controls the active Rhino/Grasshopper session and project context
  • Saving, baking, exporting, or other document writes require explicit buyer review

Completion checks

  • Every Collection component is linked to one normal standalone queue job.
  • Each standalone prompt has a distinct Raven canvas task and verification gate.
  • Official Raven product, installation, and pricing links appear in every package.
  • Compatibility is limited to Raven, Rhino 8, and Grasshopper.
  • No package implies Raven partnership, endorsement, or included software access.
